He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Dougherty and Agnes Dougherty; his grandfather Joseph Galicky; his aunt Alice McCarthy; his granddaughter Kimberly Dougherty; and his sister Mary Bray.

He is survived by: his wife Donna Vincent Dougherty; his sisters, Paulette Howard (Bob) of Painesville and Diane Dougherty of Avondale; his children, Bobbi Krihwan of Lake Jackson, Joseph Dougherty of Houston, Mickey Dougherty (Sarah Rogers Dougherty) of San Antonio and Cathryn O'Toole of Crestview; his grandchildren, Cory Gilmore (Sarah Horton Gilmore) of Wild Peach, Cameron Dougherty of San Antonio, Charlotte Countryman (Lucas Kraus) of Crestview, Adam O'Toole of Fort Hood and Luke O'Toole of Crestview; and his great grandchildren, Teagan Horton, Caden, Maisy Gilmore, Corbin Countryman, Owen, Maisey Kraus, Tenley and Jacelyn Harper. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations may be given to the Knights of Columbus Council 6812 and St. Vincent De Paul.
