He is survived by: his wife Tommie Ann Patrick Smith; his children, Samuel Smith and Leigh Anne Marcelle (Moses); his brothers, Lynn Gillespie (Judy) and Donnie Smith (Jana); his close friend Kaye Kelly; and his grandchildren, Evelyn Marcelle and Madison Marcelle. He is also survived by three great‑grandchildren.
