He was predeceased by : his parents, Ernest Beck Jr. and Wilma Bratcher Beck; and his grandparents, Ernest A. Sr., Zoe Benge Beck, Melvin and Theo Docia Murphree Bratcher.

He is survived by : his wife Iva Janell Tanner; his children, Nancy Beck Patterson (Jeffrey) of Seminole, Texas, Brian Beck (Crystal) of Lamesa, Texas and Kathy Beck Lostroh (Rhett) of Earth, Texas; his brother Danny Beck (Teresa) of Lamesa, Texas; his grandchildren, Caitlyn Beck Bland (Ryan) of Wingate, Texas, Sarah Patterson of Waco, Texas, Laura Patterson of Lubbock, Texas, Hannah Patterson of Lubbock, Texas, Brianna Beck Scitern (Garrett) of Anson, Texas, Briley Beck of Tarzan, Texas, Tanner Lostroh of Earth, Texas and Claire Lostroh of Earth, Texas; and his great grandchildren, Brody, Saizelynn, Brixxlynn and Charlotte.

The family suggests memorials to Northside Baptist Church or SUMMIT, Inc., 1000 N.E. First, Earth, Texas 79031, or another charity of your choice.

“Iva, Nancy, Kathy, Brian and Families, It has truly been an honor to get to know Bill aka "Grump" over the past 6 years that we have lived in Lamesa and attended Northside Baptist Church. He has been sitting next to me in Sunday School most Sunday mornings and always brought wisdom and humor to the discussions. He was always the jokester and picking at me and others about something.
