He was predeceased by : his wife Hilda Conde Salazar; his parents, Arnulfo Salazar and Esther Salazar; his brother Eduardo Salazar; and his mother-in-law Georgina Conde.

He is survived by : his son Mark Torres; his daughters-in-law, Nancy Torres and Tabitha Salazar (Aaron Ray Torres); his daughter Teresa Contreras; his son-in-law Cristian Contreras of Lamesa, TX.; his brother Arnulfo Salazar; his sister-in-law Janie Salazar of Lamesa, TX.; his sisters, San Juana Salazar of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico, Susana Salazar of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico, Olma Yaneth Salazar of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico and Maricella Salazar of Frontera Coahuila, Mexico; and his pet Zues. He is also survived by several grandchildren; his faithful friend.
