He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Olvera and Asuncion Castillo; and his siblings, Adrian Olvera, Moses Olvera, Marcelino Olvera and Felecitas Olvera.

He is survived by: his wife Bertha Olvera; his children, Yolanda Olvera, David Valdez (Karina Valdez), Cynthia V. Garcia (Raul Garcia) and Leticia O. Lascano; his grandchildren, Jovan, Oceanna Solis, Jasmine Valdez, Angel David, Fernado Valdez, Mya Carrejo, Alexa Perez and Aubrey Lascano; his sisters, Blanca Olvera Rosas and Eutiquia Olvera; and his siblings' child Chiqulin.

Viewing will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Branon Funeral Home Chapel (403 N Austin Ave, Lamesa, TX 79331). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
