He is survived by: his wife Judy Butler of Lamesa; and his children, Jay Butler (Shonna), Kim Minor of Snyder, Calli Ruiz (Steve) of Lamesa, Jamie Pierce (Chalyne) of Lamesa and Chris Pierce of Lamesa. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.
