We announce the death of Billy Dale Young of Lampasas, Texas, who passed away on July 4, 2026, at the age of 86. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Young and Judy Brackett; his wife Ginny; his sister-in-law Sue Rodgers; his daughter-in-law Lori Young; and his friend Janie Cleveland.
He is survived by: his aunt Winefred "Sug" Young; his children, Micki Goodman (Scott) and Daniel Young; his grandchildren, Tyler Martinez (Edward) and Brianna Goodman; his brother Quinn Brackett (Carol); his brother-in-law James Rodgers; his nieces and nephews, Bob Rodgers (Chelle), Rusty Rodgers (Juanita), Randy Carroll (Lisa), Becky Wallace (Wesley) and Amy Fleming; and his cousin Jimmy Kitchens (Eileen).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Billy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, a cause close to his heart.
