He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Chaney and Lola Hall; and his grandson Kooper Chaney. He is survived by: his children, Jerry Alexander (Denise) of Burnet, Texas, Kaly Chaney, Lindsey Greenwood, Jennifer Greiner and Bryton Walker; and his sister Mickie Chaney. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
