We announce the death of Inez Sapien in Lampasas, Texas, who passed away on September 12, 2026, at the age of 87. Inez will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gumecindo Sapien and Manuela Longoria Sapien; the mother of his children Amelia "Amy" Sapien; his children, Larry Sapien and Joann Sapien; his siblings, Selestino Sapien, Daniel Sapien and Della Sapien; his nephew Tony Sapien; and his niece LaDonna Sapien Melendez.
He is survived by: his children, Ines Sapien Jr. (Ana), G. Alan Sapien (Heather), Lori A. Lovato (Joe), Thomas J. Marinelli (Darlene) and Michael A. Hernandez (April); his siblings, Joe Sapien and Frances Arzola; and his grandchildren, Sasha M. Lozano-Hernandez, TJ Marinelli III, Crystal L. Hernandez, Jennifer M. Cox, Joe M. Luna, Jr., Tasha Langston, Melissa Marinelli, Nikkie Maxey, S. Kyle Sutton, G. Alan Sapien II, Kassandra J. Luna, Nicholas Sapien, Joseph R. Lovato, Matthew Sapien, Sammy Sapien, Nicholas D. Lovato, Brian A. Sapien, Luke A. Sapien, Joseph A. Sapien, Charity Burnes and Steven Marquez. He is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Sneed Carnley Funeral Chapel (201 E 3rd St, Lampasas, TX 76550). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
