He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sylvan Bumpus and Norma "Brownie" Nichols Bumpus; and his grandson Miller Bumpus. He is survived by: his wife Jane Munn Bumpus; his sons, Rob Bumpus of Georgetown, Rex Bumpus of Lampasas and Ron Bumpus (Jaci) of Lampasas; his grandchildren, Kord Bumpus, Kase Bumpus, Wren Bumpus, Pryce Bumpus, Mason Steele and McKane Steele; and his brothers, Ronny Bumpus (Sue Ellen) of Lampasas and Mark Bumpus (Earl Ann) of Belton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
