With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Mark Anthony Matchen (Lampasas, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. As Mark departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Mark. Though Mark may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Henry and Martha Bernice Faught Matchen; and his sister-in-law Paula Matchen. He is survived by: his siblings, Bill Utley (Tammy), Monroe Matchen, Carolyn Krueger (Scott), Connie Hendrix (Tim), Martha Pinckney (Lane) and Kay Gill (Joe). He is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to be made to the Lampasas Fire Department and Lampasas High School Alumni Scholarship Fund (located in the LISD Admin Office).
