He is survived by: his wife Elvira Covarrubias Loera; his children, Norma Abassi (Mustapha), Jorge Loera (Amparo), Martha Martin (Sergio), Joel Loera (Patricia) and Javier Loera; his daughter-in-law Veronica Loera; and his cousin San Juana Aguirre Loera. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
