He is survived by: his children, Alberto Isaac Cortez and Adriana Laura Cortez (Adrian Guzman); his grandsons, Elijah Guzman (Courtney) and Josiah Guzman; his siblings, Roberto Emilio Cortez (Delia) and Laura Rios (Rogelio); and his nephew Mario Cortez.
