He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Mejia and Teodora Mejia; the mother of his children Helinda Mejia; his children, Jose Alfredo Mejia and Nora Elia Mejia; his siblings, Beatirz Mejia, Jose Mejia, Juan Mejia and Juan Antonio Mejia; and his grandson Oziel E. Tello.
He is survived by: his children, Juanita Garza, Jesus Mejia, Maria Guadalupe Garcia and Teodora Tello; and his grandchildren, Jesus Eliud Tello, Jose Alfredo Tello, Grecia Itzel Garcia, Urbano Esteban Garza, Martha Silvia Mejia, Jesus Homero Garza, Hilda Idalia Garza, Mayra Yvette Garcia and Maria Guadalupe Garcia.
