With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Amanda Garza (Laredo, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 15, 2026 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olegario Villarreal and Maria (Refugio Rodriguez); her husband Rene Leonel Garza; and her siblings, Ruben Villarreal, Olegario Mario Villarreal and Lilia Mendoza.
She is survived by: her children, Rene Leonel Garza Jr. (Delia), Reynaldo Garza (Yolanda), David Garza, Gerardo Garza (Judith), Maria (John C.) of Lourdes Walsh and Jorge Antonio Garza; her sister Raquel Rodriguez; and her siblings-in-law, Leticia Villarreal and Antonio Mendoza. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
