He was predeceased by: his brother Monsignor Thomas P. "Father Tom" McGettrick. He is survived by: his wife Ruth McGettrick; his daughter Monica Walters; his son-in-law Jacob Walters of Laredo; his son Daniel McGettrick; his daughter-in-law Denise McGettrick of Houston; his grandchildren, Emily McGettrick, Carmen McGettrick of Corpus Christi, Maeve, Olivia Walters of Laredo, Patrick, Beatrice and Dominic McGettrick of Houston; his brother Malachy McGettrick (Margaret) of Buda; and his sister-in-law Rachel Blasczynski of Corpus Christi.
