He was predeceased by: his parents, Carlos Gutierrez and Maria Gutierrez; and his siblings, Josefina Martinez, Guadalupe Gutierrez and Maria of Jesus Gonzalez.

He is survived by: his wife Evangelina Gutierrez; his children, Carlos Gutierrez III (Elda), Eduardo Gutierrez (Patricia) and Christina Gutierrez; his grandchildren, Adriana Danielle Gutierrez and Benjamin Wade Gutierrez; and his brother Arturo Gutierrez. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
