He was predeceased by: his parents, Anabel Hill Summers and Judge Carroll E. Summers; and his son Carroll E. Summers, III. He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Bruni Summers; his children, Shelley M. Summers and Robert H. Summers (Tami); his grandchildren, Evelyn Sames Garcia (Hector), Courtney Sames Weynand (Myles), Carroll E. Summers, IV and Bailey H. Summers; his great grandchildren, Thomas E. Garcia, Lydia and William Weynand; his brother Thomas A. Summers (Marilyn) of Columbia; and his sister-in-law Linda J. Bruni. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces and dear friends.
