He is survived by: his wife Grace Ortiz; his children, Margaret Nicole Murray (Allen), Jose Daniel Ortiz, Jr. (Laura), Daniella Grace Ortiz and Eva Marie Ortiz; his grandsons, Jones Maddox Murray, John Robert Ortiz and Hudson Croix Murray; and his siblings, Carlos Ortiz (Holly), Rose Ortiz, Rafael Ortiz (Sara), Federico Ortiz (Rosemary) and Mary Gutierrez (Lauro).
