He was predeceased by: his wife Aurora Bustamante; his parents, Manuel Bustamante and Felicidad Bustamante; and his siblings, Humberto Bustamante, Abelino Bustamante and Lucila Ester Bustamante.
He is survived by: his children, Manuel Bustamante, Ana L. Reyes (Jose Oscar) and Martha A. Gonzalez (Evan); his grandchildren, Debra Ann Sandoval (Oscar), Kathy Reyes (Noe Rubio Jr.), Kaitlin Gonzalez, Monica Gonzalez and Evie Gonzalez; his great grandchildren, Estrella Sandoval, Oziel Sandoval, Emiliano Sandoval and Maximo Sandoval; his sister Olivia Elizondo (Sergio); and his sister-in-law Rosa Bustamante. He is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces and other family members and friends.
