She is survived by: her siblings, Maria E. Ortiz and Jose Angel Escamilla; her husband Arturo Smith Sr.; her children, Arturo Smith Jr., Mark A. Smith, Diana M. Smith-Carter, Assennette Smith-Elizondo, Melinda Y. Smith and Yvonne Smith-Steed; her grandchildren, Michael Smith, Megan Smith, Kristin Smith-Watson, Jamil Jacaman, Jasmin Jacaman, Lauren Smith-Moraida, Madison Steed and Emma Steed; and her great grandchildren, Cory Steed and Jonathan Farias.
