He is survived by: his wife Gerarda Lara; his children, Hermelinda Lara, Jose Luis Lara, Rodrigo Lara (Carolina), Amy Lara (Jose Martinez), Esmeralda Sarabia (Eduardo) and Graciela Alvarez (Sergio Garcia); and his siblings, Santos Alvarez (Juanita), Juana Rodriguez, Guadalupe Rodriguez (Guillermo) and Martin Rodriguez (Diana Castañeda). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
