He was predeceased by: his parents, Candelario and Maria of Jesus Solis; his wife Velma L. Solis; and his sisters, Sylvia Hinojosa, Beatrice Herrera and Anita Doncaster.
He is survived by: his children, Lynda Yvonne Cavazos, Joel Lee Solis, MD (Carmen), Christina Lorraine Garcia (Edgar), Ana Laura Solis (Tomas Contreras) and Emilio Candelario Solis Jr.; his grandchildren, Anthony Edward Cavazos, Alisha Isabel Solis, Jacqueline Garcia, Edgar Garcia Jr. (Azenett Ventura), Adrian Garcia, Isabella Garcia, Christopher Rafael Lerma, Carolina Mia Contreras and Tomas Contreras Jr.; his great grandchild Ariana Garcia; and his siblings, Rodolfo Solis (Hilda), Ofelia, Magdalena, Maria Ouwendijk (Robert) and Patricia Villanueva (Antonio). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
