It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Esther Martinez (Laredo, Texas), who passed away on March 17, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Francisco Montañez and Maria Del Carmen Montañez; and her siblings, Jesus Montañez, Carmen Montañez and San Juanita Montañez.
She is survived by: her children, Sonia Nelida Martinez, Jacqueline Martinez Hernandez (Ramiro), Cynthia Escobedo, Jr. (Humberto) and Eduardo Martinez (Brenda Escalera); the father of her children Jose Antonio Martinez; and her siblings, Margarita Pedraza (Jose), Lilia Caballero, Rosa Nelly Sauceda Montañez, Deonicia Sauceda Montañez, Martha Yolanda Sauceda Montañez, Thomas Montañez, Enrique Montañez and Victor Montañez. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren.
