He was predeceased by: his wife Antonia Laura Gutierrez Mendoza; his parents, Pascual Mendoza and Julia Fuentes Mendoza; and his siblings, Roberto Mendoza (Juana Castillo), Margarita (Estanislao) of Luna and Maria Ofelia Valenzuela (Marcos).

He is survived by: his children, Perfecta Mendoza and Felipe Mendoza Jr.; and his granddaughters, Mabel Alexia Mendoza and Marla Abigail Mendoza. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
