He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Beatrice S. Herrera and Samuel Joseph Medford; his significant other Maria Teresa Medford; his children, Leroy Medford (Michelle), Loralie Medford (late Alberto Barajas) and Lorraine Medford Olavarria (Lev); and his grandchildren, Alexandria Perez Analee (Kasandra), Michele Olavarria, Veleni Olavarria, Brianna Olavarria and Lia Medford.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hernandez Lopez & Sons Funeral Chapel (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A vigil service was held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1718 San Jorge Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
