He is survived by: his wife Claudia R. Serna; his daughter Marcela Serna; his parent Lilia V. Serna; and his siblings, Jose Ivan Serna (Sandra), Lilith (Eloy Vega) and Dalia Calderon. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, friends.
