He was predeceased by: his wife Blanca Gloria Nava; his parents, Ramon Nava and Dominga Nava; and his siblings, Antonia Sanchez, Maria Popp, Ramon Nava Jr. and Esther Gonzalez.
He is survived by: his children, Edna Garza (Edmundo), David Nava (Olga), Ida Nava, George Nava (Gina) and Edward Nava (Laura); his siblings, Oscar Nava Sr., Adelina Nava and Gloria Nava; and his close friend Beto Jimenez. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral & Cremation Service (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A rosary was held on Monday, July 21st 2025 from 7:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Joe Jackson Heights Funeral Chapels (719 N Loring Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A Mass was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (1105 Tilden Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A burial was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
