With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Homer Earl Batey of Laredo, Texas, born in Austin, Texas, who passed away on January 7, 2023 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Batey and Leona Batey; and his brothers, Robert (Helen) and Hugh (Verna). He is survived by: his sister Edna Grasse (Henry); his wife Maria Diana Martinez Batey; his son Jon (Sandy); his grandson Paul (Beth); and his great grandchildren, Sydney, Heather and Catherine. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
