He was predeceased by: his parents, Pablo Marquez and Maria Elena Marquez; and his wife Juanita Garcia. He is survived by: his children, Nancy Castillo, Rosa, Adan Martinez, Cristina Martinez, Juan Jose and Jesus Alfredo; his sister-in-law Avelina Castillo; and his close friend Jose Gallegos.
