He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose G. Sanchez and Leonor G. Sanchez; and his brother Mario Sanchez. He is survived by: his wife Eliza Sanchez; his children, Jessica Sanchez, Martha Sanchez (Orlando Esparza) and Joey Sanchez (Denisse); his grandchildren, Alexandra D. Chapa, Giselle A. Chapa, Vayda Esparza, Victoria Esparza, Samantha Garcia, Sophia Garcia and Joey Sanchez Jr.; and his brother Inocente "Chente" Sanchez (Raquel).
