He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Randolph and Corrine Hamilton Slaughter. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Black Slaughter; his children, Joseph Hampton Slaughter IV (Cuatro) and Elise Slaughter Webb (Chris Webb); and his grandsons, Joseph Hampton Slaughter V, William Boone Slaughter and Blake Hampton Webb.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, both of which were causes dear to Joe's heart.
