He was predeceased by: his parents, Margarito Bernal Sr. and Genoveva Mendoza; his stepfather Tomas Mendoza; and his brother Reynaldo Bernal (Binny). He is survived by: his wife Natalia F. Bernal; his children, Norma Cabrera Jr. (Roberto), Juan G. Bernal Jr. (Lissandra) and Hilda Lizette Bernal (Roberto Ramos Jr.); his granddaughters, Melanie, Anali, Arlene and Victoria; and his brothers, Hector Javier Bernal (Sylvia), Heraclio Bernal (Griselda), Margarito Bernal Jr. and Roberto Mendoza. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
