He was predeceased by: his wife Maria Antonia Fuentes; his parents, Enrique Fuentes and Belen Fuentes; his siblings, Gustavo, Enrique Fuentes Jr., Graciela Villarreal and Lilia Espinoza; and his great grandchild Sebastian Marmolejo.
He is survived by: his children, Ana Laura Vassos, Sylvia Marmolejo (Juan), Gloria Gaitan (Raul Ortiz), Mario Fuentes Jr. (Michelle) and Marco Fuentes (Sylvia); and his sister Ernestina Carrizalez (Jose). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
