We announce the death of Martina Martinez Salas of Laredo, Texas, who passed away on September 19, 2026, at the age of 93. Martina will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Celso Martinez (Maria De Jesus Martinez), Pedro Martinez (Bruna Martinez), Celestino Martinez, Dolores Espinoza (Pedro Espinoza), Basilia Ramirez (Isidro Ramirez) and Ignacia Rodriguez Martinez.

She is survived by: her children, Juan Hector Alonso (Rosa E. Alonso), Marta Patricia Ramirez Estrada (Martin Estrada), Telesforo Serna Martinez and Galdino Serna Martinez; her grandchildren, Juan Hector Alonso Jr. and Sara Maria Alonso; her great grandchild Hector Alonso; her brother Olegario Martinez; and her sisters-in-law, Laura G. Martinez and Julia Martinez. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Visitation was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hernandez Lopez & Sons Funeral Chapel (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A vigil service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041).
