He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Contreras and Carmen Contreras; and his siblings, Rita Salinas and Manuel Gilberto Salinas. He is survived by: his wife Rosa Elia Salinas; his children, Miguel Angel Salinas (Maria Monica), Ricardo Salinas (Nydia), Melissa Basurto (Raul) and Rosa Salinas; and his siblings, Hortencia De Leon, Maria of Jesus Flores, Aurora Pacheco (Humberto), Rosa Maria Salinas and Antonio Salinas (Douglas). He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
