He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Alfred and Blanche Flores Leyendecker. He is survived by: his wife Lori Ann Leyendecker; his daughters, Katie Nicole Leyendecker (Max) and Dr. Sarah Ann Leyendecker; his brothers, Richard A. Leyendecker (Paula), Gary A. Leyendecker (Mary Lamar) and Mark A. Leyendecker (Veronica); and his niece Jennifer Leyendecker. He is also survived by many relatives and family friends.

He was a member of the Laredo Daybreak Rotary Club and a recipient of the Paul Harris Award, presented to him for his contributions to the organization.
