We announce the death of Raquel Ambrose Peña in Laredo, Texas, who passed away on September 17, 2026, at the age of 87. Raquel will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ambrosio Ambrose and Clara Ambrose; her son Jesus E. Peña Jr.; and her siblings, Gaspar Ambrose, Enrique Ambrose and Rosalinda Castillo.
She is survived by: her husband Jesus E. Peña; her children, Ricardo Peña (Delia), Rebecca Peña and Rosalva Peña; and her sister Clara De Leon. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 8:00 AM at the Hillside Funerals & Cremations (310 W Hillside Rd, Laredo, TX 78041). A prayer will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the same location.
