He was predeceased by : his wife Lydia Bibiana Escobedo; his parents, Agustin Escobedo and Sara Escobedo; and his siblings, Carmen Escobedo, Gonzalo, Maria Concepcion and Mario.

He is survived by : his children, Francisco Escobedo (Rosaura), Raul Escobedo, Jr. (Carmen), Sergio Escobedo (Sharon), Miguel Angel Escobedo and Rosa Lydia Lopez (Jose Angel III); his grandchildren, Andrew Escobedo, Alexander Escobedo, Abram Escobedo, Miranda Layla Escobedo, Stephanie I. Gomez, Brandon H. Gomez, Carolina Lopez, Joaquin Andres Lopez and Nicolas Angel Lopez; and his siblings, Sara, Jesus Garcia (Chuy), Gregorio Uvalle (Goyo) and Juan Treviño. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Fred Dickey Funeral & Cremation Services (1320 Trey Dr, Laredo, TX 78041). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (1718 San Jorge Ave, Laredo, TX 78040). A rosary was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 7:00 PM. A burial was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at the City Cemetery (3200 N Meadow Ave, Laredo, TX 78040).
