It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Romel G. Salinas Sr. (Laredo, Texas), who passed away on September 29, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesus Bustos and Estella Mendiola; and his siblings, Glafiro Salinas and Maricela Abrego. He is survived by: his wife Susana Salinas; his children, Robert Salinas (Bella), Stephanie Castilleja (Marco) and Romel G. Salinas, Jr. (Gabriela); his grandchildren, Bobby Salinas, Jr., Krishna Salinas, Andrea Salinas, Oswaldo Salinas, Bella-Rayne Salinas, Marc Castilleja, Robert Castilleja (Samantha), Manuel Perez, Jr., Kaylee Castilleja, Alejandra Cortez, Briana Cortez, Romel G. Salinas III and Madison Renee Salinas; his great grandchildren, Abigail Castilleja and Christopher Elizondo; and his brothers, Jesus Bustos, Hugo Bustos and George Bustos. He is also survived by other loving relatives and many friends.
