He is survived by: his children, Melissa Fuentes (Jose), Iris M. Contreras and Angel Gallegos; his grandchildren, Jose "Joey" Fuentes, Jr., Joshua Fuentes (Denise) and Jenna Fuentes; the mother of his children Irma Zavala-Contreras; his great grandchild Jocelyn Fuentes; and his siblings, Maria De Jesus Saloman, Guadalupe Contreras, Sylvia Pedraza and Josefina Contreras-Partida (Lydia).
