He was predeceased by: his parents, Rufino Benavides and Antonia Bazan. He is survived by: his girlfriend Rosa C. Donovan; his daughter Gladys O. Tijerina (Tony); his stepchildren, Azeneth Reyes (Raul), George Donovan, Jacqueline Donovan and Oscar Donovan Jr.; and his grandchildren, Lizette Montiel (Rene) and Pete Tijerina (Andrew Hobby).
