He is survived by: his wife Enedina Sierra of Berrones; his children, Juan Gerardo Berrones (Nora), Imelda Soler (Agathon), Enedina Berrones, Margarita Chavez (Alonso), Frances Johnson (Arturo A.), Raymond Berrones (Daniela), Jose Guadalupe Berrones (Sara) and Thomas N. Hubbard; and his grandson Jesus. He is also survived by his 28 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, along with extended family.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hernandez Lopez & Sons Funeral Chapel (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A vigil service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Hernandez-Lopez and Sons Northside Chapels (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 9:30 AM at the Hernandez Lopez & Sons Funeral Chapel (800 Boston St, Laredo, TX 78041). A Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Saint Patrick Catholic Church (555 E Del Mar Blvd, Laredo, TX 78041). A burial will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at the Calvary Catholic Cemetery (3600 McPherson Rd, Laredo, TX 78040).
