She was predeceased by: her parents, Mary Emma Wade and George Jabez Hornbuckle; her husbands, Harvey Montgomery and James Hendrix; her sisters, Dorah Allen and Genevieve Thompson; and her grandson Brennan Montgomery.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Montgomery (Patricia) and Sherri Cerise Montgomery; her grandchildren, Jason Montgomery, Sterling Montgomery, Blayr Proffitt and Jennifer Amor (Ryan); and her great grandchildren, Cole, Nicholas, Ava and Carter. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Charles W. Smith and Sons Funeral Home - Lavon (2343 Lake Rd, Lavon, TX 75166). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Thompson Cemetery (7000 S State Hwy 78, Nevada, TX 75173).
