He was predeceased by: his parents, Joel Andrew Wheeler and Elois Virginia Wheeler (Smith); his stepfather John Cronk Sr.; his grandson Cullen Wesley Adams; his siblings, David Cronk and Rosemary Collins; and his parents-in-law, Robert, Frances Baylor and Gertrude Baylor.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Wheeler (Baylor) of Leander; his daughters, Courtenay Hinckley (Stuart) of Leander, Tara Bennight (Russell) of Round Rock and Virginia Wheeler of Ohio; his grandchildren, Chad Adams of Leander, Kinzley Medack of Round Rock, Hailey Bennight of Round Rock, Andrew Bennight of Round Rock, Clay Hinckley of Victoria and Weston Hinckley of Victoria; his siblings, Rhoda Kelly (Russell) of Cleveland, Gwen Morse of Arkansas and John Cronk of Giddings; and his brother-in-law Dennis Baylor Sr. (Sharon) of Giddings. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
