We announce the death of Laurel Lee York in Levelland, Texas, born in Lubbock, Texas, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 71. She was predeceased by: her parents, Billie Mathis and Nolan Mathis; and her sister Ramona Mathis-Phillips. She is survived by: her siblings, Nolan Mathis (Katherine), Victoria Long (Johnny) and Holly Ludwig (Wes); and her children, Lee (Veronica York) and Billie York. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and dear cousins, nephews and nieces.
