He was predeceased by: his parents, Hal and Ruby; and his sisters, Pat, Jan, Anna-Margaret and Carolyn.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Goodnight; his son Kevin Goodnight; his daughter-in-law Amy; his grandson Grant; his son Kyle Goodnight; his daughter-in-law Ellen; his grandsons, Nolan and Blake; and his sister Linda Kay.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Krestridge Funeral Home (505 Austin St, Levelland, TX 79336). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (1011 Houston St, Levelland, TX 79336).
