He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Georgia Mae Middleton Carpenter; his children, Keagan Carpenter and Shawna Carpenter-Lopez; his father Gerald Carpenter; and his brothers, Gerald and Joshua Carpenter. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the World Literacy Foundation.
