He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. Claunch, Sr. and Ann Colvard Claunch; his wife Mary Louise Stewart Claunch; and his siblings, Nathan Claunch and Peggy Claunch.
He is survived by: his sons, William Claunch (Sally Claunch) and Dave Claunch; and his grandsons, Alex Claunch and Will Claunch. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
