He is survived by: his wife Lanette Tipton; his children, Mary Gwynn Tipton and Mitchell Tipton; his parents, Gwynn Tipton and Herschel Tipton; his brother Jonathan Tipton; and his sister-in-law Dania Tipton. He is also survived by many extended family members, friends.

The family asks that those wishing to honor his memory donate to Hospice of East Texas.
